The road to Garland comes to an end this weekend as eight of Texas’ strongest high school volleyball programs compete for state titles across 5A and 6A. Each division brings elite talent, contrasting styles, and storylines that have shaped the 2025 season. Here is a complete look at every matchup hitting the floor at the Curtis Culwell Center.
The Vandegrift Vipers hosted the #23 ranked Austin Westlake Chaparrals at Monroe Stadium for the first bi district playoff game and the Viper's kicker, SMU commit, Wily Olsen, walked off a 36 yard field goal to send the Chaps home in the first round for the first time since 2014.
Highland Park Scots will play the Lake Belton Broncos. The Scots come into the matchup averaging 31 points or more after their regular season win over Midlothian 42-28. The offense has Harrison Cullum and Cannon Bozman. Both key players who can make the passing game easier for the Scots.
The newly head coached Hutto Hippos will be hosting the Bowie Bulldawgs at home this Friday for the first round bi district playoffs. Last year the dawgs missed playoffs due to an upset by Austin High, this year they defeated the Maroons 34-7 to qualify.
After a thrilling ending to the District title for Vandegrift, and a disappointing lose for Westlake, to the #13 Dripping Springs Tigers, the two meet at Monroe stadium for the first round of the Texas High School Football 6AD2 Bi District playoffs.
